Most fitness advice was built for people who respond exceptionally well to training, and it quietly fails everyone else by pretending otherwise.

A massive share of popular workout programming comes from elite responders, enhanced athletes, or paid spokespeople whose results are not replicable by the average natural lifter.

High-volume approaches are not entirely useless for natural lifters. Advanced naturals with years of base strength can benefit from added volume. The problem is applying advanced-level volume to beginners or intermediates who lack the foundation to absorb it.

Fitness content is a commercial ecosystem. Supplement companies, gym chains, magazine publishers, and influencers profit from complexity, novelty, and recurring purchases. Simple, effective, low-cost programming is a threat to that revenue model, not an asset.
This creates selection pressure for advice that looks sophisticated and demands ongoing consumption, regardless of whether it produces results for natural lifters. The advice that survives and spreads is the advice that sells, not the advice that works best.
