By creating an account, starting a trial, or otherwise using Faroa, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. If you are using Faroa on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

Faroa generates learning paths inspired by books. A learning path is an original sequence of concepts, prompts, and reflective questions, generated by AI from publicly available information about a book: its title, author, and subject. Faroa does not reproduce, summarise, or substitute for the books themselves, and no book text is used to create your path. For the full picture of how paths are made, see our Content Policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us and for keeping your account secure. Accounts are personal to you. Please do not share your credentials or let others use your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

New subscribers start with a 7-day free trial. We ask for a payment method when you begin, but you are not charged during the trial.

• If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically at $14.99/month and renews each month until you cancel.
• You can cancel any time from your profile. Cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms for the payment itself.
• If we ever change the price, we will tell you in advance, and the new price will only apply to renewals after that notice.

The free trial is available once per account. Where the law gives you a statutory right to withdraw or a refund, those rights are unaffected by this section.

Faroa's learning paths are AI-generated educational content inspired by non-fiction ideas. They are not professional advice: not medical, legal, financial, or career advice. They are starting points for your own thinking, not instructions to follow. Faroa is not liable for decisions made based on generated content.

Because the content is generated, it may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. Use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional before acting on anything important.

When you use Faroa, you agree not to:

• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit your learning paths or any part of the service.
• Scrape, copy in bulk, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract our prompts or underlying systems.
• Interfere with the security or normal operation of Faroa, or attempt to access accounts that are not yours.
• Use Faroa for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms.

Faroa, including the service, its design, and the learning paths it generates, belongs to Invicta Mandala Unipessoal Lda. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Faroa and the paths generated for you, for your own learning, while your account is active.

Book titles, author names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Faroa is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any author or publisher. Naming a book simply identifies the ideas a learning path is inspired by.

We work to keep Faroa available and reliable, but we provide it on an "as is" basis and cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features as the product evolves. If we make a change that materially reduces what you pay for, we will act fairly and in line with your consumer rights.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faroa is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on generated content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

You can stop using Faroa and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms or use the service unlawfully. If we do, we will act proportionately and, where possible, give you notice.

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-law rules of the country you live in, and you can bring claims in your local courts.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will revise the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Faroa after a change means you accept the updated terms.
