Overview

Every external condition, Neville Goddard argues, is the shadow of an internal state. Change the feeling, and the fact must follow.

Most people try to change circumstances by acting on circumstances. Goddard inverts that entirely: the feeling comes first, and the world arranges itself around it.

  • The subconscious accepts whatever feeling is impressed on it as fact
  • Sleep is the gateway through which impressions pass most cleanly
  • Imagining from the end, not toward it, is the operative technique
  • Feeling without revision is prayer without power

Feeling is the secret language.

These ideas sit at the intersection of imagination, prayer, and practical psychology. Goddard treats them not as metaphor but as precise instruction.

Your assumption, though false, if persisted in, will harden into fact.

What is inside

The Law of Assumption

  1. 01Consciousness as the Only CauseTreat your inner felt state as the cause of your outer world, not as a response to it.Free, in full
  2. 02Assumption Precedes ManifestationTreat your assumption as a cause, not a response: choose the inner state of fulfillment before any outer evidence supports it.
  3. 03The Subconscious as ServantEnter sleep in the feeling of your desire fulfilled, not in the ache of its absence, since that threshold is where impressions pass most directly to the subconscious.

Feeling as the Medium

  1. 04Feeling Is the Secret LanguageTreat feeling as a cause, not a response: ask what state you are impressing right now, not what circumstances are producing.
  2. 05Wish Fulfilled vs. Wish DesiredOccupy the feeling of already having, not the feeling of wanting; only the former creates in Goddard's system.
  3. 06Mood as a Creative ForceEnter the feeling of the wish already fulfilled, not the longing for it, before any outer evidence appears.
  4. 07Detachment from Current ConditionsTreat every current unwanted condition as a past assumption made visible, not as present authority over your future

Sleep, Prayer, and Practice

  1. 08The Hypnagogic State as GatewayEnter the hypnagogic state feeling the wish already fulfilled, not hoping it will be.
  2. 09Prayer Redefined as Felt CertaintyShift from wanting to having: feel the desire as already real, and let that feeling be the prayer, not the words surrounding it.
  3. 10Revision and the Rewriting of ExperienceRevisit any wound from today before sleep, replay it as you wish it had ended, and let that feeling be the last state you carry into rest.
